Fitting square edge laminate worktop - do I need a jig?

Does anyone have any experience of fitting their own laminate kitchen worktop? We've bought ikea square edge, it's thin 28mm I think.
Do we need to buy a jig?

Anyone?

I've helped fit my sisters kitchen.
We did use a jig for the worktop as it went round corners. When doing my kitchen I didn't need one as work surface was down opposite walls and not joined up.

We have got to do some corner joining, so I guess from what you've said that a jig would be necessary.
