Does anyone have any opinions as to the pros and cons of push-button shower valves (rather than the ones you turn)?

We have that exact one although only 2 buttons and it's great, very easy to adjust and change the temperature. I fitted it myself and it wasn't bad to fit, the only complication is I needed a strange size hole saw, something like 148mm.
The other good thing is the hot water feed can be just 2 degrees over the mixed output, so you can feed it from a combi without it having to be set on 60c.
We mounted it opposite the shower, next to the door, so it doesn't get splashed much, but it seems easy enough to clean.
You've probably already seen the price. You need the actual valve, the rough box which was about 60 pounds, the fittings for the hand shower and rain shower, it all mounts up quickly.

Thanks for this info! When you say you need "the actual valve", is that in addition to this? Or do you mean this is the actual valve?

That is the valve but if you read the blurb it says "Please note that this product must be installed in combination with the GROHE Rapido SmartBox (35600000)."

Ah yeah, that's what I thought, thanks!
