Hi all…I was supposed to view a council house at the end of January was very excited after finally winning the bid but on arrival there was a massive leak in the house sounded as if a shower was on and water was leaking out the front door. Must’ve been there a few days as some of the water on the front door had frozen over from the cold weather. The lady who was showing me around said I was unable to view the property due to the leak and a viewing will be rearranged once it’s fixed in about 2/3 weeks. It’s now the end of March and still no update on what’s going on I get that the leak was extreme and will take time but I hate not knowing a date it’ll be sorted I’ve been waiting 2 months. I drove to the property again yesterday to look at the outside and peep through the windows etc and I saw the front doors been changed to a brand new one so they’ve obviously invested into doing repairs and I guess that’s a bit of a positive especially as the old door had dents and looked very old just frustrating being in the dark and not knowing how much longer it’ll be. How long do leaks take to sort out etc and what does it involve? I guess they have to check electrics as well but didn’t think it’ll take as long as it is, if anyone has any experience or could share their opinion on how long they think it’ll take id appreciate it as I’m driving myself crazy not knowing and the council won’t update me. 🥲

Hi , I know this is a bit late but how did it go . Were you first in the bid for viewing ? Did they get back to you ? 😄
