We have moved to a road with residents' permit parking. This permit parking scheme has only been introduced in the past year. We have a front garden that is big enough to be turned into a driveway, many other houses down our road have turned their front gardens into driveways, although these were done many years before the permit parking was introduced.
I have two questions:
Firstly, do you think the drop kerb will get approved by the council as this is a permit parking zone? The application is £300, whether it goes through or not. I have to supply drawings and measurements, which is fair enough.
Secondly, is it better to ally for the max amount of drop kerb or would a smaller one be more likely to be approved? Our front garden can accommodate more than the minimum amount required for a driveway.
