Freezer with double doors or a sliding door or something
MillicentForceIt · 18/03/2023 15:28
I have a store room in my house and I'd like to put a tall freezer in there.
The problem is that the room is only 117cm wide. It has a window at one end, so we can't put a tall freezer there- it will have to go along the long wall. But most freezers are about 60cm deep (or more) and a similar width, so I won't be able to fully open the door.
Would this bother you? I wondered whether a freezer with two narrower doors would work or some sort of sliding door but haven't seen anything like this.
Thank you.

A chest freezer would work but I find them hard to use as I forget what's at the bottom. May have to be that though if I can't find the freezer I'm imagining. Thanks.

It's a fridge freezer rather than just a freezer, but this would work I think - 72cm deep, 76cm wide so doors would be half of that which takes you to 110cm with doors open

Or this one which has chest drawer option for freezer and slim doors for fridge.

And just a freezer, it’s slim so assuming will be under 1m when open. ao.com/product/efz145we-electra-upright-freezer-white-85034-34.aspx?ef_id=Cj0KCQjwwtWgBhDhARIsAEMcxeBYBiyU-s2pMXnL6GRa4RHOmbYjswIJgvPKZyO5BPU_lEuuC-JUbCYaAuRnEALw_wcB:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!8149!3!541326364552!!!u!863206802043!&&utm_medium=shopping&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=mda%20-%20freezers%20-%20smart%7Cfreezers%20-%20smart&utm_term=smartshopping%7CEFZ145WE_WH&utm_content=pla-863206802043%7Cpaidpla&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwtWgBhDhARIsAEMcxeBYBiyU-s2pMXnL6GRa4RHOmbYjswIJgvPKZyO5BPU_lEuuC-JUbCYaAuRnEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

It’s worth bearing in mind that a lot of freezers don’t go flush to the wall because of the air vents and need for air circulation.
also if there are shelves inside you don’t necessarily need the door open fully. With internal drawers you would do
