Knocking down a small supporting wall, installing an rsj. Rip out old kitchen and slightly rejig layout to install new kitchen in open plan area, possible skylight.
or rip out old kitchen and move into adjoining dining area meaning relocating plumbing, gas pipes etc.

Without the skylight, option a (the wall down and RSJ). With the skylight this option will be the same if not slightly more expensive.

Thanks, skylight is just a possible add on but I think installing French doors should let in a lot more light. I’m far too indecisive for all these decisions!
