Hi.

how does it work if you want to relocate and getting a mortgage please? Currently live in the south east and looking to relocate near family in south wales.
have secure jobs here in the south east but would need new jobs there. Has anyone had a mortgage accepted with just job offers?

Interested to see advice as we are in similar position, we have opted to go with a broker who is used to handling slightly complex cases...as I have a job offer but want to buy a house before I start the new job and want them to take the new salary into account which is quite a big pay rise. Wife is self employed and wants them to take this year's earnings as evidence of ongoing earnings, not last year's (maternity year), they usually take last 2 years and average it... Lots of lenders don't like all the changes/specifics involced but the broker is confident he can get one...watch this space!

Hi both - old thread but do you have an update on how it went for you? Which broker was useful / what order did you do things in RE jobs and mortgage.

We are considering the same - I'm the breadwinner and would have a job so I'm not sure if we would need my OH to have his job already in place for a mortgage offer or if we could do his second - suspect we would need to speak to our bank andor broker to find out as it would depend on our mortgage amount and LTV I guess
