HMKOC Delivery

We will be having our HMKOC kitchen delivered in the next few weeks. My understanding is that all items will need to be checked immediately and any faults will need to be reported to the delivery men, who will take the damaged/faulty items away.

-were any of the items damaged/faulty?
-did you have enough time to check the units?
-if there were any faults, how long after did you receive the replacement items.
-if you found any faults after the delivery, did HMKOC replace the items?

All went quite well for me. The delivery team were careful and methodical and made sure that I was happy. I stood in my empty room with my list of items and I ticked each one off as they brought it in. The item code is in written in marker pen on the top of each item. I did have a quick look for obvious damage, but found nothing. I didn't do a lot of checking for faults, because I didn't feel I had enough time to do that (e.g. checking all dimensions). Any minor imperfections have been tweaked or filled during installation and painting. I think they would rectify problems you find after delivery. But I'm not sure they would make and deliver another cabinet to you if you have already signed for it as delivered. Have you got someone to install and paint? I have found it a lot of work!

Sorry, I didn't explain that very well.
I think you are definitely supposed to notice missing items straight away. And also any items that have been badly damaged in transit. There's plenty of time to do that.
But I can't see how they can expect you to pick up more subtle problems (like faulty hinges and sliders).

Same as the previous poster, it's very methodical. I was given a sheet to sign off each item. They made sure I checked the glass before they left. I'm fairly certain it says on the delivery instructions you have a few days

See attached. In all honesty, the quality is amazing. But if there's two of you- one to sign off and one to check, you'll be fine.
They shout the number out to you as they bring it in so sign off is easy

@jimjamy thank you for the info, that's good to know! Yes I do have someone to fit and paint the kitchen, I would be useless!

@Baxdream, thanks for the terms and conditions. I am hoping all of the units are fine, just wanted some clarification in case they weren't! Very excited to finally get the kitchen, we've been waiting for months! Next job to decide on a colour! 😁
