What colour front door?

We are looking for a new composite front door, trying to decide on a colour.

I'd like bright pink. I've found a purple but not sure. We've been there with the dark grey thing and won't return. Anyone got any suggestions of what looks good?

A person near me has a really nice shade of light pink on her door. I love it. It really stands out in a nice way and just looks so pretty. Really compliments her house.

So glad you said this. There are a couple of houses in my street whose doors are SO the wrong colour for the bricks.

Composite doors are a long term choice and cannot be painted without spoiling the guarantee.

Why don't you get a lovely wooden door instead and then you can be as experimental as you like, a different colour every year if you want?

difficult to picture in my head, but the right blush pink could look nice against some of the lemony bricks as some do have the blush in them. You would certainly go through the sample pots to get it the right shade though.

i so regret not taking a picture. it was an absolute thing of beauty.

i was talking to my family about a house I had seen for sale and I said “it has the second most beautiful door I’ve ever seen”

they just looked confused why you might have a mental note of nice front doors.

Where in the midlands are you?

we have yellowish brick mostly, planning to change colour of front door ( currently old mahogany colour wood door , looks very worn out) what colour would be suitable please? we are currently painting the hallway pure white so should match the indoors too, hallway has brown wood effect karndean floor.

Ours (wood, not composite) is F&B Rangwali and has been for the past couple of years. Tbh, I'm bored with pink now and am tempted to either go back to blue - we previously had Little Greene Pale Lupin, but I'm tempted to go with something more turquoise - or else paint it LG Silt same as our windows.

DH, otoh, loves the pink and for now I'm letting him have his way.

We've just had a bright yellow door fitted. Some companies will do colour match to any of the RAL colours.

When I said lemon yellow , I wasn’t exaggerating ( with peeling old brown upvc windows , but a nice wooden front door )

Op,back again. I am struggling to find a company to give me a pink door. Safestyle are the only possibility at the moment, but they won't work with me as I won't give them my marital status

Is a wooden door a bad idea?

I'm trying to figure out what colour to paint my front door - Victorian terrace with greyish-blond brick. I like yellow, tangerine, lavender and pink. But I'm also loving a glossy black with chunky brass door furniture, which might work better as I need to paint the ugly gas meter.
