Looking to move to area around Maidstone

Hello,

We are planning to move to Maidstone, been exploring new builds at places like Kingshill, East malling, West Malling, Staplehurst, Sutton Road Langley village. Any suggestions - on areas to avoid, schools , bus, travel to london, any other local insights will be helpful. Based on our research we have found Parkwood area being rough, is it impacting the new builds in Sutton Road, Langley village ( Redrow and Bellway) especially schools.

Would avoid the South of the town generally, but once you get out into the villages in any direction (like the ones you've mentioned) it's pretty nice.
Trains to London pretty crap sadly, good hour from centre of town.
Buses are actually OK, main 82 bus every 8 mins.
Does pretty well for schools but, as I'm sure you're aware, it's 11+ grammar country and pretty competitive (but not as bad as Bucks!)
Lovely countryside to escape to.
