Feeling very flat

I know I’m being ridiculous but I just need to know if these are normal emotions with house selling!

Our house has been on the market 3 weeks. On average, having a viewing about every other day but no buyers yet. All similar feedback (3rd bedroom too small, not much we can really do about that!) but we went for a reasonable price (50k lower than most properties in our area because we know our house needs updating. Not full renovation but decorating).

We were silly and looked at house before we sold. Fell in love with a property and put an offer in. Offer accepted but they wouldn’t take it off the market until we had a buyer. Yesterday, we saw they had sold it. It’s just hit me weird and I feel sadder than I expected! We are wanting to move to our forever home. Have never sold before but are at the point we need to sell to relocate and get LO settled before they start school.

It’s all just feeling impossible and I’m not sure it will ever work out!

I am sorry you have missed out on your dream house. It is rubbish that the agent didn't ring you, given that the vendor had accepted your offer. Yours has only been on for three weeks, which is no time at all, so hopefully it will sell soon and you will benefit from buying your onward purchase in a falling market.
