Where can you find a completion statement

Hi,

I sold a flat at the end of 2021. I had a pretty disorganized solicitor who (among other things) never send me a digital copy of the completion statement. I'm now trying to buy and the EA has asked for a copy but....

....the solicitor has left her firm and I'm having trouble getting hold of it via them
....the physical copy is in another property with my ex (recently moved out at his choice, not speaking, he'd have to hunt for it...)

Any other ways I can get it / sources who are likely to have it without having to grudgingly ask the ex for help?

Thanks a lot!

itll only have gone to you/other owners of the property from your solicitor. Were there any conveyancing assistants involved who might still be with the firm?

The law firm is required to retain their file - they will have a copy. Contact the firm again and don't take no for an answer. You may have to pay a photocopying charge but they must have it.
