Hello. I have a slug or snail in my utility room. I know this as it leaves a trail in the morning. But i am unable to find it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to catch / kill it please?

Thank you

I had some success with beer traps in my garden. I popped some ale in a shallow-ish dish and left it on the ground, and quite a few slugs slipped in the beer and drowned. I didn't like the drowning bit so I stopped using beer but it was quite effective.

Either that or a 3am sneak attack

I had one in my bedroom a year or two ago - left trail on the carpet and even the ceiling every night!!! I drank LOADS of water at night for about a week to wake me up regularly to try and catch him at it, and eventually got the bugger.

You'll find it if you get up during the night. We had slugs coming in to our dining room. I got up during the night one night to get a drink of water and spied a couple of them!

Salt where they are coming in,if you can work out where that is?

creating salt barriers works as above. I’ve had slugs in two homes
