Roof / chimney mounted wind turbine

Having been advised our East facing roof is not particularly suitable for solar panels (and might not be able to support the weight anyway) we are now looking at the potential for wind generated electricity.

Does anyone have a roof, or chimney mounted wind turbine?

We'd ideally like vertical orientation as we are in Scotland and would need PP for any wind turbine so something "disguised" as a chimney pot may be more likely to get permission.

We have been suggested a TESUP but reading online reviews they are not well regarded. I do like the shape/style though.

Can anyone recommend a make/model and let me know how much energy you produce. Average wind speeds here are 4-5 m/s - perhaps less as I suspect that was measured at the nearest airport.

TIA

Is this the sort of shape you are thinking of? My dh has been looking into some for our roof to go along an east facing ridge. My concerns are roof vibration noise and noise from the spinning. I'd need to see some in action to decide, but they seem much better for a smaller space where we couldn't have a tradition turbine.

Yes, that's the one.
Having read up a bit more, I don't think wind generation works particularly well in an urban environment and we're back to investigating our solar options.
