How long did your loft conversation take?

Hello,

We are getting quotes by builders and the one we like and seems really genuine says it will take him at least 4 months as he has other jobs on. We do need to remove the roof as we have a trussed roof and put in new beams so it is a big conversion job.

How long did your conversation take? Would love to get an idea if 4 months is mad!

With roof work, insulation, electrics, joinery, drylining, plastering etc, yes mine took a bit longer than that

6 months, they said 4 to begin with but we had a spate of really wet weather which delayed it, plus delays with materials from overseas etc.

My builders told me 12 weeks tops and they lied to us as it took 17 weeks and a further 2 days snagging.

We had team of 3 here almost everyday too then electricians on top.
