Mortgage up for renewal

Mortgage up for renewal this summer. I know I can get an offer that will be valid for 6 months. Would you do it now or wait until closer to the time? Is it possible to get an offer now and then switch closer to the time if rates are better?

I would leave it until closer to the summer seeing as rates are coming down now. Your current provider should write to you 3 months before your current product comes to an end offering you a new product. At that point you can shop around to see if you want it stick with them or not.

You can get an offer now and switch nearer the time if rates have come down.

Lots of my colleagues customers are doing that right now.

Damn … so tired I read your title as Marriage up for renewal. 😳

Hope you get good feedback from others about mortgage renewal.
