Trying to purchase a house we are renting. Has been ongoing for nearly 12 months. Mortgage offer ends in 3 weeks and can't re new this. Can't get another mortgage due to the interest rates increasing. If we font get the house we have to move town, uproot the children and as the rent has gone do high, will never get another opportunity to buy. Only thing we are waiting on is documents from a housing charity as previous owner to LL bought a share of the property from the charity and staircases up, however documents don't reflect this so our LL conveyancer needs these corrected. Every time LL conveyancer or our conveyancer contacts them, they just get informed its with their legal team. Could I contact the charity and try to appeal to their better nature, explain how desperate I am for my family or should I just leave it and except I'm never going to get on the property ladder. I'm desperate and distraught today, I can't stop crying and just feel I need to do something.

How stressful. What charity is it? Local or national?

I'd be tempted to do as you suggest, I find conveyancers don't chase particularly hard, they just fire off emails to keep a paper trail rather than picking up the phone.
