Giving master room to DC?

It's me and 3 DC. DDs are twins and would like to share. Should I consider giving them room 1? DS will likely have room 3.

I'm not particularly bothered about having an en-suite. DC are all under 7. Could always reshuffle when they're older!

Thoughts?

Just curious, what happens in bedroom 4 ?

I would put the twins in bedroom 2 but perhaps use bedroom 4 for some more storage of children’s things if you wanted to save more floor space for playing in bedroom 2.

Office/storage/maybe a small spare room but it might be ambitious!

Are you buying or renting? Could you move the door of the ensuite to the opposite side so that room 2 is en suite rather than room one?

Buying and I could but not sure I see the point!

Yeah why not? Give them lots of room to play, have friends over, etc.

In a lot of households, the bathrooms are used interchangeably depending who wants a shower or bath and who is in the other one, if that's fine with you, it's fine.

If there is a concern with little ones mucking about, you could put a bolt across the outside of the door well above where then can reach or even better, a lock that takes a key so they can't be mucking about in it late at night or early in the morning - and don't have any kind of bolt or lock they can use inside it. But that would go for any bathroom, including the family bathroom, if this was likely to be a problem, no? And I never had any major problems with my little ones messing about in the bathroom once they were the age not to have stair gates any more. I suppose it depends on your children. And your hearing and sixth sense 😉

They're past toddler age and won't muck about with water.
