Amersham - Chesham Bois - Milton Lawns area

I have been doing research on Amersham trying to find a safe and friendly neighborhood to move to, ideally within walking distance to good primary schools (Elangeni and Woodside Junior).

Is Milton Lawns, Woodside Avenue a safe area to move to? I visited the area recently and found it to be fine, but is there anything I wouldn't have picked up straightaway?

Noticed houses on Woodside Avenue are nice big houses, and lots of smaller houses on MIlton Lawns. They don't seem to come up very often.

Thanks to anyone who has any advice or experience of the area.

Where did you move and what have you learnt about the areas since your post?

I have just moved to Woodside Av. and do you have anything you want to know in particular? i am very happy so far. Its quiet which is what we like, and we are within minutes to Elangeni which is where we like our kids to go to. Love the surrounding woods, beautiful and extremely peaceful and a nice walk to town. People i have met so far in town and neighbours have been extremely nice, even the postman were friendly to us, and congratulated us moving in (he knew the previous owner). Kids are well behaved and polite. There is no through traffic and I see them out playing all the time. There is a small store near by which has all the essential and a very good butcher. Used the big sport centre in Amersham town last weekend, outside facilities were great. I may still be in a honeymoon phase.

@glideblue that sounds lovely. We'd searched last year in Amersham but nowhere ticked all our boxes so we've kept one eye open on it.

I am so sick of these constant Amersham posts and bumps.

You are absolutely rubbish at not making them look staged.

Good luck! Compare to South London where I was before, Amersham is lovely. @KievLoverTwo Sorry you feel that way. I couldn't find any info 6 months ago, and just wanted to help others who may be in the same boat.
