Best way to find a conveyancing solicitor as a buyer?

Should be a straightforward sale! I don't know any local firms, how best to find a decent value and reliable solicitor?

Ask on a local Facebook page for recommendations would be my idea

Do you have any local friends or colleagues who have moved house recently? If so ask who they used and would they recommend.
Or failing that, post on any local community FB groups etc asking for recommendations
