Hi…can anybody recommend a ‘tried and tested’ squeegee for curved shower screen please. I’ve seen this one online, thanks in advance

Thank you presumably it would have to be a shorter one, and quite flexible ?

Normal one sideways. Length doesn't matter - not sure why it would?

I go from top in horizontal stripes to the bottom. Easy

Ohifyouinsist · 19/02/2023 14:06

Yes, normal full sized one, just used vertically and dragged sideways.

The one on the clip looks really awkward to me! Our shower is curved and the normal straight blade is fine held vertically and drawn horizontally across the screen, as pps have said. The actual blade isn’t rigid, it’s flexible, so copes with the curve!

ThereIsIron · 19/02/2023 14:45

I use the one from IKEA www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/lillnaggen-squeegee-40243596/

I have the aqualux blade you linked to, it’s brilliant. Got it on dh’s request after using one on holiday.
Previously had a normal one but this is much nicer to use and hold, gets into the otherwise awkward areas on a curved screen. And love that it hangs up flat to the wall. Even the teens use it now!

hedgehoglurker · 19/02/2023 15:22

I got the aqualux blade, but binned it. It's so small that it took forever.

I used to go across like pp, but now use a larger one designed for car washing. The flexible part of the blade is perhaps 2 inches deep, so is flexible and bends into the curve so you can drag downwards as usual.

@TwoMonthsOff not small at all, same size blade on it as a normal squeegee I’d say. It’s nice and light though.

@CrystalMaisie I do like it’s sort of Star Trek looking (I’m not a Trekkie 😭) plus I do like you can attach it. I think I misunderstood curved showers as I thought you had to have a dedicated curved squeegee. They’re nice as make good use of space, asking as I am moving
thanks Crystal
