Which Karndean looks most like real wood planks?

Confused by Karndean, in spite of visiting the showroom twice, and receiving full samples to my home! I just wish I could see an entire floor in it! We are looking for a mid-pale oak (not orangey) colour and want it to look as much like wood as possible, rather than it being obviously vinyl. Does anyone have this type of colour Karndean in their home? Any suggestions gratefully received! Our hand is being forced by timescales and we really need to decide.

Sorry but it all just looks like vinyl. It's all over the office block I work in and until I seen it getting stripped and cleaned that's what I thought it was.

I have what you describe! I think it was called medium oak and it was a Van Gogh range but it's a few years old now so may have changed. We did change our mind when we went to the showroom.

I have Spring Oak. Still love it ten years on. We have dogs and thought it would withstand claws better. It’s much more forgiving than Amtico too. I literally just hoover it, and occasionally mop - no treatment needed.

Thank you for that - I've just ordered a few more samples and Spring Oak was one of them. I'm so worried about this choice as we are doing the whole of the downstairs all at once - it's a lot of floor if I don't end up liking it!

Does it have to be Karndean? I'd prefer tiles that look like wood planks if it was me.... they look better and require less looking after (in my opinion)

This is what I'd have if we ever get around to changing our downstairs floor

We have Karndean Korlok Baltic Limed Oak and a lot of guests are surprised to hear it is vinyl rather than wood.

I have been really pleased with it, it's super hardy. Now 4 years on it looks exactly the same as the day it was laid.

That looks lovely!! The Korlok does seem to be the best looking, but our fitter is pushing us towards the gluedown.

I'm happy with the look of some of them. They are so hard wearing and easy to clean. I'd obviously prefer real wood but it's not affordable. It's a compromise.

That's a beautiful room @littlelionroars

We had darker Karndean (rustic timber) in our old house and I really liked it. We are just doing the house up and have floorboard in most rooms but in the extension we are getting Karndean. It's so hard wearing and we also have a dog so I like a floor that can be cleaned properly!

Moduleo is a technically better product than Karndean and its made in the Uk (Karndean is made in taiwan)

This is frosted birch (I think). We wanted something cooler toned than the oaks.

We did see a floor done in Auckland oak - it looked good but it does have some quite big colour variations on it which might stand out over a large area iykwim?

Think you need a balance of pattern so that whole thing isn't completely uniform but nothing so dramatic that you can spot the repeating patterns (I think there are only 3 or 4 'patterns' in each plank type).

Yes it's glued down. Took him five days to do the whole downstairs

This is Amtico Spacia Range Honey Oak, been down 5 years, not scratched, and needs no maintenance.
