Costa of buying and selling

What’s the average? Is it worth getting a decent survey not just the mortgage one? Been donkeys years since we contemplated this!

Always get a homebuyers survey at least. I would only get a full structural survey if i was buying a very old house or one that obviously needed full renovation.

we bought an 11 year old house 3 1/2 years ago without any survey and have had some issues - we may have still bought it but at least would have had more information up-front.

Thank you the mortgage one is now only valuation so will look into one.
