Trying to get a plan sorted for the extension kitchen. Due to a building issue the side wall for the kitchen will have a step in it. back wall is like an alcove with sloped ceiling for stairs above. We're planning on an island but deciding which way round, how big, sink or no sink and whether to have seating is driving me insane.
I feel no sink is better as it would always have something drying beside it otherwise (we are a bit messy...)
The room will also have a sitting area, dining table, so not sure would need seating on an island, but equally, might be nice. If I have it long side parallel to the side wall I can butt the dining table up against it, but 90 degrees looks better?
We have a range cooker we need to keep so kinda stuck where to put it (plus it needs to extract outside)
Anyone got any bright ideas?
