Is it possible to install an electric shower without damaging tiles

Hi

We're thinking of installing an electric shower over the bath but don't really want to retile.

Is it possible to install all the pipework from the other side of the wall?

I thought about hacking down hall wall, do all the pipework from behind the tiles etc and only drill through the tiles for water supply and to hold the electric unit. and then repair/replaster hall wall.

Is this do-able or is there a simpler solution I'm missing?

Never done one before but the hole I have for my gas shower is about 6 inchesx2inches in the tiles. All you need is a hole for the mains and the water feed. Probably should be some distance apart !

You can see a hole here for an electric shower :

At about 4:20.

This would be a new shower; there's nothing there. It's all tiled.

You need two main holes in the tiles, one for the electric cable and one for the cold water feed. I think it is doable from the other side. All that can be done from the other side of the wall. Then the fixings for the shower to attach the unit to the wall.

Here is a video, I have started it at the point where you can see what is in the wall before they attach the electric shower.
