Ring doorbells question

Hi all so got one and set it up plus chime and linked to existing echo. Had lots of stalkery fun watching the road from my phone rather than my window...

Questions:

Have you set up privacy zones? I have, out of courtesy to house opposite but didn't think it through. It just means anything closer (like my dd testing it) has a big black block covering part of them.

Have you set up anything I should understand? I have a plan.

If I buy a security camera for the corner where dogs poo on our garden and kids cut across, what one do I want?

Privacy zone? Yes. For next door neighbour and opposite neighbour. I'd be creeped out if they had a camera on my house. I also limited the activation zone thing to just our drive and front garden.

Brilliant , thank you. Yes I've blocked out their house. Can't see others close enough to worry, still playing with the settings.

Near me, Ring doorbells get stolen. Apparently there's a nice 2nd hand market in them. It put me off getting one.

Oh wow, that's a bit worrying!
