Creative splashback ideas for hob or sink

Does anyone have an unusual splashback for their hob or sink?

I’m looking for inspiration and on a bit of a budget. I’d love to see any photos if you don’t mind sharing.

I don’t have, but if we had a new kitchen I’d get a slash back from rock salt prints website! Love some of their splash backs.

@Bingowingo thank you!! These are great! Never heard of the company before either.

I’m on an outside wall and have a window instead of a splash back behind my hob. I love it!

Following with interest but am also looking at an alusplash - recycled aluminium…

I had a glass worktop and splash back in a previous kitchen, just bought glass from the local glass company cut to size so it was much cheaper than a bespoke worktop. You could probably get clear glass cut and stick wallpaper or similar behind it.

Have a look at splashbacksuk limited (google) all sorts of patterned glass, there are quite a few acrylic companies too - places like Etsy are your friend for something a bit unusual. We've had a local sheet metal company make something before (they engraved the metal) which was cheap, as was a pp's previous suggestion of a piece of glass (although iirc we had to get some sort of heat resistant glass / coating) - we just painted the wall then put the glass over it. We now have a window as another pp suggested by am guessing creating a window might be slightly beyond the budget Smile

We used a clear glass splashback over the normal tiles, easy wipe clean and tied in with the kitchen.

I spent ages looking for something! In terms of behind the hob, there are different regs depending on the fuel type, if you go down the non-standard material route!
