I have to order the roof windows latest tomorrow morning so they arrive in time. It’s for an unheated attic room that will be used as a hobby/chill out/occasional bedroom. There is large velux high up which needs replacing but the roofer has agreed to install more windows at no extra cost in labour.
I have found a small skylight/roof access window that is only £100 so I could buy 3 of them and place them lower down the roof to give a view from the attic room. But, they are only suited to unheated loft spaces even though they’re double glazed. I like that they are top hung.
The alternative is to buy one or two small Veluxs which will be proper windows for heated spaces. Two will push my budget for decoration and furnishing though (will be sourcing second hand mainly anyway).
Which option would you go for please?
