Dowsing and Reynolds - any alternatives

Hi, We love the look of the Dowsing and Reynolds dimmer switches but at £95 each its a bit steep, does anyone know any other brands with similar design?

Thanks

Following with interest! I have their products in my lounge but seem to be supply delays on several products so would like to find alternatives

We get our sockets and switches from TLC Electrical. They have a nice range of dimmers. They aren't exact dupes - specifically, I can't see any with the textured edges, so if that was the big draw you might be out of luck. However - in terms of interesting colours (matt black, copper, contrast knobs) and screwless plates, there are some really lovely ones.

Not every range includes triple gang (which I assume is what you want if you're looking at £95 on D&R), but when you click through on each range, make sure you scroll down - the website isn't great and sometimes what you want is off the bottom of the page.

I am a D&R fan, we have quite a lot of their stuff, but I really rate TLC for other things.

We had dowsing and reynolds dimmer switches before and they're great. Customer service was good also, but one of the dimmers broke within a couple of years. They sent a replacement but we had to pay electrician to re-fit it.

This time around we got Pooky dimmer switches and they haven't been fitted yet but look really good. And were cheaper.

We got much cheaper sockets as that wasn't worth the money last time as I found they were hidden behind bedcovers, furniture, etc

Another TLC fan here. Also, have you looked at Elesi's range? And Forbes and Lomax? It used to be the case that F&L were the only ones around and expensive, but if D&R are charging £95, then perhaps that is no longer the case.

I am replacing plastic sockets and switch plates as I go, but sometimes painting them the same colour as the background wall, or picking up a colour in a wallpaper, can go a good distance towards minimising the painful ugliness of the white plastic box if you can't face the electrical work.

I've gone with TLC as well.

I like Jim lawrence but they are very traditional.

Thanks so much for all your suggestions - going to check out TLC and pooky also!

@Clickncollect did Dowsing & Reynold say which range/product have supply issues

thanks!

@FirstRenovator I’ve been waiting for the black Kramer door handle to come back into stock for a couple of weeks so far now. The other colours except silver are out of stock too.
