New Layout Help Please!

Hello!
We’ve just moved into a house that is a bit of a renovation project. It’s been converted from 3 properties in the past and at the moment is laid out with all the rooms in a row. There’s a small entrance hall at the front (top of pic between bay windows) that I’d love to open up somehow. The utility room is also needlessly big. We need to make the kitchen space bigger.

I’d love your ideas / thoughts!
TIA

Could you make the back door into the everyday entrance so the store room there becomes a boot room, use the kitchen as utility room (and laundry and sewing room or craft room or home organisation room, study, whatever you need, wonderful place full of storage which you can hide away) and open utility into living room which becomes the new kitchen living area?

Presumably the wall between the kitchen and dining room is an outside wall between two original houses so couldn’t be moved?

which existing rooms do you like? What works well at the moment?

I was also thinking along these lines. Is it possible to use the back door as your main entrance?

What rooms do you want OP? I think once we have an idea of what rooms you want, we can suggest different layouts.

Thanks for your replies!

id like a bigger kitchen, smaller utility, hallway lounge and playroom if at all possible. Was also thinking of knocking through at the back and possibly adding French doors top left (the garden is above the image and the drive below).

Definitely need a downstairs loo though so wonder where we could add that in?

Yes unfortunately all the main walls are load bearing but I think could get around it with support beams etc? I was hoping to knock one through to make bigger kitchen or kitchen/diner possibly

The above plus I’d love a boot room / utility.

rooms we would like:

kitchen - big / would like some element of open plan / attached dining or sitting area
separate lounge
downstairs loo
utility / boot room

Relocate the downstairs loo to the back part of the garden store. Combine the existing loo and store to make a new utility/boot room. Open up the existing kitchen, utility and living room into a kitchen/diner with a little seating area.

Thanks I hadn’t thought of putting the loo there

here is one option

L = living room with french doors to garden.
K = kitchen/dining room (all knocked through as much as possible
H = new hall to connect everything
P = playroom
B = boot room access from new hall
U = utility room with downstairs loo in here too
S = snug or study depending on which you need.

depending on how you arrange the walls, you could probably cut off a corner of the utility and make the hall connect directly to the snug if you wanted as well.
