Cost of moving a kitchen into box room

Hello - I am looking to purchase a property that is currently a 1 bed tenement flat. We are looking to convert it into a 2 bed (a lot of the other flats in the building have done the same). This would involve shifting kitchen into box room and making previous room the second bedroom. Has anyone ever done something similar / have a rough idea of how much this would cost? Obviously it will vary location to location (we are based in Edinburgh) but any information would be much appreciated!

is the plumbing nearby to put the sink in? will you need gas for the hob? Induction is MUCH easier than moving gas pipes around.

If the plumbing can be sorted, the rest is just the cost of installing a new kitchen - look it up on IKEA. you can probably re-use some existing appliances but unless you are on a super-tight budget, it would probably make more sense to have new IKEA units.

Can you knock on neighbours doors and ask if you could see how they did it ?

Zoopla and rightmove to see previous sales in the building for photos and plans.

Check building warrants for those with conversions on the council website.
They will have a value of work on them.
