Considering moving from Birmingham to Halesowen.

Early 60s, fit, working, single. Budget of around £500k.

Which are the naice areas? Which are the ones to avoid? And how easy is it to get involved in community activities / make friends etc?

Why Halesowen?

arghtriffid used to have family connections long ago, but none now.

It appeals on a sentimental level which may or may not be a reason to move there.

Why Halesowen? Worcestershire would be better if you want to stay in that area…

Ah just read your response above - Halesowen as a place has changed for sure over the years for the worse -
I know this as I have connections there. You have no one there now, as I say If you want to move relatively close - Worcestershire is the place to go. Whereabouts in Birmingham do you live?

I think somewhere like Alvechurch might be better, if you are heading a bit west.
