How to keep a hall runner fixed to a wooden floor

As the title says, seeking a way to keep a long hall runner fixed to a wooden floor. Looking for a semi permanent fix to the floor, rather that a non-slip mat underneath type fix.

Any ideas wise ones?

Tiger Tape has been brilliant for keeping rugs secure in high traffic areas here, can definitely recommend it from personal experience.

It's not what you said you wanted but we have an antislip mat from Dunelm and it really does "glue" the runner in place to the floor.
