Cost of wet room

Could anyone give me a rough guide to how much it would cost to convert our bog standard bathroom to a walk in shower / wet room? It is a small room only big enough currently for a bath with shower over, loo and sink.

I paid approx 5k, I'm in South Yorkshire. My bathroom is tiny (1930s house.) It was stripped back to brick and we took the ceiling down and kingspanned before boarding. I didn't shop anywhere except my plumbers preferred plumb centre.

I know I live in a cheap part of the country but it included everything, including skip hire.

It did take over 3 weeks to fit, I was schlepping to work yo use their showers.

Does the whole bathroom need to be replaced.
When we needed to convert Mum's bathroom we had the bath removed, put in a full length shower tray and screen and used wall panels so there was no need to re-tile. That was much cheaper than ripping out the whole bathroom and replacing everything. Not much point in quoting costs as it was 6 years ago.
FWIW I think a low profile tray and screen are better than full wet room.
