Has anyone built an extension with a winter garden/glass box

We currently have a 1930s build with a lean to on the semi side. The pros: the cat litter box lives there, muddy garden shoes, light gardening things and occasional seedlings live there. Other things live there but we’d be happy to find them new areas in the house, these are the things that we’d miss. So has anyone built an extension with a glass box on the corner which isn’t a conservatory but more winter garden ie no heating with a modern extension would it work etc? Any thoughts

So basically a lean to greenhouse with a door into the house?

Basically! Unfortunately we can’t have a greenhouse in the actual garden.

More like a porch - small room, separated by door to indoors, somewhere for outdoor stuff?

You'd need a thermal break. Then its just a modern style conservatory. It will be unusable for accommodation in winter since it will be absolutely freezing

So a conservatory? Pointless things. Too hot in summer, too cold in winter.

We had a lean to greenhouse built up against the house, it looked lovely, was in quite a modern style and I used it as a greenhouse - tomatoes, chilli peppers etc Only thing was I had to keep it tidier than is my natural way as it was so visible.

Do you have a photo or image of something similar? @BarrelOfOtters
