Insulated ceiling?

Has anybody got any recommendations? Does it come in kit form? The first floor floorboards are very draughty but I don't want to take up floor coverings. The ceiling below needs a revamp anyway so I figured that if such a product exists. I do not mean suspended ceilings although not sure if the same thing?

You could fill the space betwen the joists with an insulating material after removing the ceiling below. Is that what you mean?

Thanks. I don't want to take down the ceiling to do that. I would rather add a layer or a few layers over what is up.

Its an unusual way of doing it. The joists could extend further than the room below so could still be draughty and now possibly filled with cold air if you stop the heated air from below entering. I would take the ceiling down unless of historic value.

That's a good point actually.
