I’m looking for the blue of the Pukka camomile tea box. It’s a really bright and fresh blue and all the colours I’ve tried (eg F&B cooks blue, Edward Bulmer azurite) are a bit too pastel and not zingy enough.

Thank you!

mambo?

I googled paint colour match and the only site which I could find who had an online match by colour swatch were Valspar who suggested this colour:
www.valsparpaint.co.uk/paint-colours/blues/delphinium-corsage/

But lots of place seem to colour match in person too.

HippyChickMama · 21/01/2023 15:25

The closest ones I can find are Dulux Striking Cyan (left) or Crown Peek a Boo Blue (right)

Sail Away by Wickes?

picklemewalnuts · 21/01/2023 15:30

Can't you get it mixed at B&Q?

TeaFagsand · 21/01/2023 15:55

Every colour on earth has a Pantone number. Take your box into Dulux shop and let the magic commence

It really doesn't. But Dulux will scan anything and try to match it, if you go to one of the places where they have the big paint mixing machines. They tll me that it is a bit hit and miss how accurate it is, though- it depends on the surface the colur is on, how saturated the colour is, etc..

DoingItUp · 21/01/2023 17:15

The Dulux colour app suggests Delicate Cornflower

Have a look at Lick paint. I think Blue 10 is a pretty good match for you. I've used this paint several times and bought the Lick Pro from screwfix. Quality and coverage is excellent.

Looks like a good match for tivoli from little greene to me?

WinterFoxes · 21/01/2023 17:22

This Lick blue is pretty close.

WinterFoxes · 21/01/2023 17:23

Crossed with @Blondeissimo . Lick blue 10 is very close.

Augend23 · 21/01/2023 17:27

I think it might be closest to this one:

www.duluxtradepaintexpert.co.uk/en/colours/11bb-35-316-1776048

I did this myself literally on paint. I found a colour I liked, snipped it into paint. Then went through the Dulux website found the 3 testers I thought were closest and then picked the best one on the walls.

This is brighter:

www.duluxtradepaintexpert.co.uk/en/colours/80bg-39-354-1776277

This might also be a possibility:

www.duluxtradepaintexpert.co.uk/en/colours/70bg-24-380-1777165

You can order the testers on the Dulux website and then you can order trade paint in e.g. Brewers, you just have to have an account, not be a builder or anything.

The Dulux Heritage Range has lots of lovely blues like that.

Incidentally, I want to be the person who works for Dulux and who names each paint colour.
They must pay someone to do it, and it might as well be me!

Fenwick & Tilbrook Blackbird’s Egg!

subtoprem · 21/01/2023 17:38

I've taken packaging to a paint centre before and had them colour match it. Take the box.

Helenahandkart · 21/01/2023 17:40

Take the box to B&Q and ask them to colour match it.

What is a lick pro? I'm looking at the website- there are various tools but not a specific one.

picklemewalnuts · 21/01/2023 17:55

Just the paint?! Isn't that a bit steep?!

minipie · 21/01/2023 18:37

Designers Guild are good for bright clear colours. St Chapelle looks like a good match or possibly Lapis Lazuli

GlamGiraffe · 21/01/2023 18:57

Try your local B&Q, they can match paint colours and mix to match. Take the box with you obviously.

spiderlight · 21/01/2023 19:00

If you can take the box to a b&q with a Valspar counter, they'll match it for you.

Blondeissimo · 21/01/2023 19:01

@picklemewalnuts great user name btw! Lick Pro is their 'pro' range of paint. Same colours but available in bigger cans and purchased from screwfix.

picklemewalnuts · 21/01/2023 19:57

K, thanks.
