What's the worst that can happen if I fit a new oven element myself?

Can I get it really wrong and create a hazard/cause damage or will it just not work/trip the fuse box?

It looks fairly straightforward but I'm no electrician.

I have replaced mine several times. Ordered online and fitted with the help of YouTube. I last did it three years ago and it cost £23. It was easy to do.

I’ve done it too, following a YouTube tutorial. You’ll be fine!

I’ve done it too. Oven conked out at the height of covid, couldn’t get anyone to come out but the kids still needed their fish fingers. Followed YouTube/manufacturers instructions, bobs your uncle. Easy peasy lemon squeezy

It’s not a difficult job , 2 wires usually and a couple of screws.
if your lucky it can be done from inside the oven, last one I did took longer as the oven needed to be pulled out and done from the back 🙁.

Did one once and wouldn’t work afterwards, took me ages to suss out that the time on the oven had to be set before the oven would work 🤪

They are normally about £30ish online you just need the make and model of the oven.
