Are we mad?

Last year we spent about 70k on renovations to our kitchen, bathrooms, lounge and garden. The end result is wonderful! However, realistically we don’t love the area and we both keep seeing houses on Rightmove and sending them to one another!
this week we found a very ugly 2 bed detached in one of our favourite areas that has HUGE potential to be our forever home. It’s a huge plot so we could improve and extend all ways. BUT would we be mad to do this now?? Or should we just get our hse valued as jump in??
we have 3.5 years left on a fix deal with can be ported across.
or should we enjoy our new space once the door is closed and be thankful??

Well you've got nothing to lose from getting it valued, at least!

Sell now while the reno is fresh

The one thing you can't change is location

Go for it

No reason not to get an EA round, get it valued and listed... In the hands of the gods then! You have nothing to lose.

Our neighbours a few doors up did this and had not much interest so took it back off the market for now. But there's no harm testing the water...

Wish you luck!

Thanks for the replies. We managed to go and have a look today, just outside but the garden is open so we walked all round. Def has potential but is over priced. We’re going to make an appointment and perhaps make a lowball offer! 😬..
