Council house viewing

I won a bid for a council property last month and have just been called today to arrange a viewing for next Monday at 9:30am I hoped a family memeber would be able to watch my 2 year old while I attend the viewing but they’re unable to as they’re busy. I was just wondering if you’re allowed to attend council house viewings with young children…sorry if it sounds like a silly question but I’m sure I heard somewhere that you should try and attend by yourself without children. Anyone know the answer to this?

I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to take your DC. You would be able to if a private sector viewing! I’d take them if I had no option. X

In a ideal world probably be easier without children so you could concentrate on viewing the property, asking questions etc but the viewings are usually quite short so hopefully little one will be fine, good luck with the viewing hope it goes well.

Hi, new here:). I was invited to view a council flat that I had bidded on the 17th , when I arrived there the officer didn’t have the key so she had to rearrange (I was the only person there). It was rearranged for the 22nd, where another officer showed me around but told me that 5 other people were also supposed to be viewing the property at the same time as me- however none of them showed up, so he told me it’s looking very likely that the flat would be mine. I’m wondering how long before I hear anything back from the council with regards to whether I’ve got the flat or not? Will I hear anything if I haven’t been successful? I called customer service and they said wait 2 weeks bht that seems a bit long in my opinion? Aibu or impatient? First time I’ve ever gone to a viewing I really just wanna know
