Really Basic Stamp duty question

GlazedandConfused · 18/01/2023 13:53

When you buy a flat, who provides the official receipt showing the amount of stamp duty that you paid? What is its proper name? Is it the solicitor that would have this doc/info? Or is it the land registry? I need to find this and don’t know where I should look! Thank you if you have any advice on this.

It's called a SDLT5 and your solicitor will have a copy

Thank you Digimoor I really appreciate it. I’m rifling through emails looking for it.
