I’ve been on band A since nov 2019 and still waiting to be rehoused, anyone else in a similar situation?

Depends on size and area.

I was band A for a 1 bed in 2020 and offered a property within a few months - I think a few people ahead of me must have turned it down as it was a while after I bid on it.
