We are currently having our bathroom refitted and the plumber is pushing really hard for us to have an offset quadrant shower enclosure. For context, the bathroom is 2.8m square and has a freestanding bath already, but it's not a space issue. The plumber reckons a rectangular enclosure, with the long side facing the door, would be too intrusive as you walk into the room. I don't particularly want a quadrant anyway, but can anyone suggest why the plumber might be so in favour? Do they have obvious advantages that I'm missing?
