We are hoping to move later this year, we need somewhere bigger. We're all living on top of each other and every day feels stressful. Some more space would be a dream! Although the increase in bills probably not...

But the house isn't quite ready to market yet. So I'm in the earliest stages, which involves torturing myself on Rightmove, attempting to keep on top of the clutter so it's not a huge job when the time comes, but also making plans to do things over the next couple of months to get our house market ready Grin

Anyone else the same?

Yes the same but opposite (I realise that doesn't make sense) as I am waiting to buy and living in a mess in my rental as we have boxes and not enough storage, but I can't seem to find something to buy! Prices are coming down but not far enough for the current situation with high mortgage interest rates. In my area and price bracket people seem to be in a bit of a stand off, properties being reduced but still languishing on the market and vendors not willing to lower them twice. I am on Rightmove hourly it feels :) and also have all the alerts set up but no joy so far. And the longer I go without buying somewhere the more I am eating into my deposit.

I could have written this! After umming and ahhing over the last 18 months, and trying to convince ourselves that this house will just do we have finally accepted that we need to move. We have agreed on all the little jobs we need to do before putting on the market, (nothing big just refreshing paint/getting rid of clutter ect..). We will be ready by mid Feb I think. And by complete coincidence I received an email from an estate agent who valued our house about a year ago asking if we were still thinking of moving...so feels like a sign !

We’ve got valuations happening next week. I really want to move before LO starts reception in September but I’m so anxious that the house won’t sell (it’s not a perfect, ready to move in house). I could just cry!

@Noimaginationforaun

Is it likely that your little one will still go to the same school you've applied for? Or will you need to apply elsewhere?

We are in the same boat, our eldest is due to start reception in September and I'm not sure whether we will be in the same area or not..which makes me panicky!

Yep... looking at putting ours on the market in the next few months but a bit nervous about the whole thing. It's our first house so I've never sold a property before - we're thinking of renting for a bit so we can spend some time looking for the right house in the area we want to live, but worried about some stuff I'm reading about difficulties in renting at the moment.

We'll need to apply for school for our daughter next year and as we really don't want to stay where we are, we can't really wait much longer. I spend far too much time on Rightmove too!

Don't worry too much about clutter. They literally remove it all in the photos.

We are totally moving out of area, about 15 miles away, so I’ve had to apply for a school around here but know we’ll (hopefully) be moving soon. It’s a bit of a mess! We’ve never sold a house before and just have no clue what to expect!
