Hi I’m on council bidding for a house it’s been 4 years. Now my position for some house listings is 3/4 and for some 200-300. I wondered if anyone else been in same position and know why this is? TIA

Not bidding but used to work for a few years in council housing team. Your positon will be affected by how many people apply for each property and their priority. The ones where you're 200/300 are more popular, way more people bid on them and had higher priority than you. The ones where you're coming higher are less popular

Local connection areas probably

Thank you for the reply I do have a local connection to the area and for these houses you need to have a local connection to be considerd and its a new build site so there's about 10 houses so I'm assuming if I'm at the top of my band (band 2) then I might be in with a chance of being offerd the property .or even gwt shortlisted ? Thank you

However I've bidded twice for a old rundown flat and have been offered same day. I am so confused im pretty sure im eligible as I have two kids

Hey,

I am currently in band B and have been bidding for a while. Last week I placed a bid on 3 three bedroom properties and am in position number 3 for all of them. I just wanted to know what happens in this situation or if anyone has been in a similar situation? Thank you!
