Cutting a hole in the worktop

We’ve been gifted a worktop dishwasher to tide us over until we get the kitchen redone. It’s a Bosch so need to be plumbed. I know you can get ones that connect to the tap or have a water tank but I dont want to buy one and we’ve been gifted this. So we need to find a way to get the hoses to the water and waste supply. What’s the easiest way to cut a hole in the laminate worktop?

Masking tape over the area to be drilled will reduce the amount of splintering in the worktop surface
