Does anyone have experience of this? We sold our flat and were asked to leave £300 on account with our solicitor for 18months following the sale. I think this was in case of any costs from service charges etc. that we hadn't yet been billed for when we left. The 18 months ran out last November. I contacted my solicitor to find out if the money had been claimed. They emailed to say they were just waiting for "confirmation that they are in agreement with what is being paid" from the buyers solicitors. I have heard nothing since. How long is this supposed to go on? I thought that having an 18month limit in the contract should mean the money needed to be claimed in that time or else returned to us? Should I contact my solicitor again?
