New kitchen help

I'm getting an extension and new kitchen, I'm planning on buying it from either DIY kitchens or IKEA.

My question is... what colour/ finish is the easiest to keep clean with small kids and 2 muddy dogs and a cat??

Shaker or anything with a ledge is a NO as immediately after cleaning there's grime on it.

I'm not the most house proud, I don't want to be constantly cleaning but I do want it to look as nice as possible with minimum effort!

So I'm thinking a solid door, Matt or Gloss?
I like a cream gloss with curved corner units but no idea what they're like to live with?

Thank you 🙏🏼

Matt easier to keep clean than gloss. A dark blue wouldn’t look dirty too easily but a dove grey or beigey creamy colour would work. DIY kitchens does a nice dove grey and another nice neutral called Cashmere.

Thank you!
I like the cashmere- I worry grey is a bit cold and also a bit 'fashiony' iykwim.
I do like blue also but wonder if I'd tire of it... maybe lower units blue and upset ones cream?

My white gloss white cabinets are far more forgiving than the Matt grey island

I’d definitely get Matt, we currently have hi gloss white handleless and I’m getting it replaced because it’s just so irritating, every finger print shows and it all needs buffing after it’s wiped, major pita. I’m also getting actual handles because less fingerprints and I keep damaging my nails on stupid grove style handles.

All good to know, thanks. I have short ish but manicured nails so it would irritate me to ruin them opening drawers and cupboards!

It's usually mud splatters when the dogs shake them the kids inevitably spill something all down the doors. So something quick and easy to clean (or where things are disguised haha as it's multiple times a day this happens.)

Yes I would get rid of the kids and dogs ideallly but I can't unfortunately 😫
