Where to live near Maidstone?

DH and I are hoping to move to Maidstone (we can't afford Tunbridge Wells or Tonbridge)

We have a small budget of £385k for a three bed semi so that prices us out of a lot of places but I have family near Maidstone and went to school there.

We are looking at Bearsted and Aylesford and luckily can afford a couple of properties there but is there anywhere else we should be looking at?

Someone has mentioned Penenden Heath to us but others have said no.

We wouldn't mind a village towards Tonbridge/T Wells (parents are in T Wells and don't want to be too far away) but it would need good access as we have children and one car between us.

Borough Green?

I live near Maidstone. Penenden is fine. Other areas to consider include Larkfield, Loose, Barming, Coxheath, Staplehurst, Langley, and the villages around. A bit further out is Teston, Wateringbury, Headcorn etc.

Penenden Heath is fine. Allington which is nicer than Aylesford imo. Weavering also nice and Boughton Monchelsea.

Barming good access but busy. Has a lovely park with childrens play area tho. Coxheath / boughton monchelsea nice but access not as easy as barming. If your parents are T wells and you’d like to see them regularly I’d recommend looking that side of Maidstone.

Is paddock wood out of budget?
