Which of these sounds like the best idea? I am rubbish at decorating but can't really find any examples of my ideas online.
Our bedroom is square. Chimney breast on one wall (no fire) with 2 equal sized alcoves. The head of our bed is against the chimney breast.
I want most of the walls off white/very very pale. The curtains etc will all be dusky pink as that is what we have and I'm not replacing them. Carpet is a mink colour.
Option 1 - paint the chimney breast and alcoves sage green.
Option 2 - wallpaper the chimney in a mostly sage green patterned wallpaper. Paint the alcoves the same colour as the other walls.
Option 3 - wallpaper the alcoves. Paint the chimney breast sage green. In this scenario I don't want to paint the chimney breast the same colour as the other walls because that would look stripey.
Something else?
